Abstract
Abstract This study was conducted to determine the effect of boiled water sorghum on feed intake of broiler finisher chickens. The study aimed to determine the feed intake of broiler finisher chicken fed with different concentration of boiled water treated sorghum with substitute of maize. A Four experimental diet were formulated at an inclusion level of 0%, 10%, 20%, and 30% sorghum substituting maize. The diets have been formulated to contain the required protein a and energy source. A total of forty (40) unsexed day old broiler chicks were used for the feeding trial. At finishing phase (after 4weeks), the birds were randomly allocated into 4 treatment of 10 bird's per treatment, Replicated twice with 5 birds per replicate in a completely randomized design (CRD), Each treatment group were fed the test diet at 0%, 10%, 20%, and 30% which corresponds with T1,T2, T3, and T4, respectively, data obtained was subjected to one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA).
