Abstract
This research focuses on the design of interlocking blocks for use in dry-wall construction, aiming to provide a more sustainable and cost-effective alternative to traditional construction methods that involve mortar. The objective of the study is to develop a detailed design model for interlocking blocks, emphasizing their potential benefits in the construction industry. I he methodology involved utilizing AutoCAD software to create precise design models for interlocking blocks and their corresponding molds. The designs accounted for factors such as block dimensions, interlocking mechanisms, and the material composition needed to optimize structural integrity and durability. The results of the research demonstrate that interlocking blocks designed with precision using advanced software can significantly enhance the efficiency of construction. These blocks provide improved alignment and stability due to their interlocking features, which help reduce the need for mortar and other binding materials. Furthermore, the use of a standardized design model ensures consistency and quality in block production, leading to more reliable construction outcomes. In conclusion, the design of interlocking blocks presents a more effective solution for the construction industry compared to traditional methods that rely on mortar. The precise engineering of these blocks promotes faster assembly, reduces material costs, and contributes to sustainable building practices.
