Abstract
The growing complexity of financial operations and the increasing prevalence of fraud have amplified the demand for specialized professionals such as forensic accountants. This study seeks to explore the pivotal role that forensic accountants play within organizations and their impact on fraud detection and prevention. Specifically, it aims to address the following research questions: What is the role of a forensic accountant in an organization? Can the occurrence of fraud cases be significantly reduced through the use of forensic accounting techniques? Is there a significant difference between the roles of forensic accountants and external auditors? The objectives of the study include examining the role of forensic accountants in an organizational setting, assessing the potential of forensic accounting in reducing fraud cases, and evaluating the differences between forensic accountants and external auditors. By delving into these questions, the study aims to offer insights into how forensic accounting contributes to organizational integrity, financial transparency, and the overall effectiveness of fraud prevention measures. The findings are expected to provide organizations with a clearer understanding of the distinct advantages that forensic accountants bring compared to traditional external auditors, especially in fraud-related cases.
