Abstract
ABSTRACT This study investigates the effect of cassava starch as a natural plasticizer on the plasticity of cement-based wall plaster. Conventional plastering often relies on chemical plasticizers, which are costly and environmentally unfriendly, creating the need for sustainable, locally sourced alternatives. Cassava starch, abundant in Nigeria, offers potential as an eco-friendly additive that could improve workability without compromising performance. The problem addressed in this research is the limited application of cassava starch in plaster mixes despite its availability and promising properties.
