Girl Child Education and Women Political Participation in Enugunorth Senatorial Zone, 2020-2024

Abstract
This study examines the interrelationship between women's participation in politics and gin childeducation in the Enugu north senatorial zone. It explores the extent of female politicalinvolvement and its influence on the educational opportunities available to young girls within theregion. The research aims to identify the barriers women face in both political spheres aneducational sectors, while also highlighting the progress made through existing policies aninitiatives. By employing a mixed method approach including qualitative interviews, with femalepolitical leaders and quantitative surveys of educational attainment among girls, the studprovides a comprehensive analysis of how increased political engagement of women can serve asa catalyst for improving girl child education. Findings suggest that empowering womenpolitically has a positive impact on educational advocacy and resource allocation for girlsfostering a more inclusive and equitable socio political environment. The study concludes withrecommendations for policy makers, educators, and community leaders to further support andenhances the synergy between women's political participation and girl child education in EnuguNorth senatorial zone.
