Abstract
The research study examined the "The Influence of Mass Media on Environmental Protection in Osun State". This study is aimed to To identify the key messages conveyed through the media environmental campaigns. Also it is to analyze the portrayal of environmental issues in the media. In this study Agenda-Setting Theory was used. The study adopted survey method of research whereby questionnaire was used as research instrument. Total copies of 120 questionnaire was administered among the media staffs and the listeners, total copies of 100 questionnaire was recovered and was inlayed in chapter four of the study. The study concludes that The influence of mass media on environmental protection is undeniable. Through its coverage, framing, advocacy, and accountability, media has shaped public awareness, opinion, and behavior in relation to environmental issues. The findings therefore recommends that the empirical research on the relationship between media and environmental protection should continue, efforts should be made to promote balanced and accurate media coverage of environmental issues, ensuring that the public is well-informed and engaged in environmental protection initiatives.
