Abstract

ABSTRACT This project work examined the "Impact of Strategic Planning on Organizational Productivity", a case study of Nestle Food Nigeria Plc, Agbara, Ogun State. The objective of the study is to examine the effect of strategic planning on employee job performance in the organization as well as the main factors that affect strategic planning and practices of the organization. The study was carried out using primary and secondary data. The analytical method that was used was descriptive and inferential methods. The descriptive method involves the use of table, percentage and charts, the inferential method which involved statistical methods like chi-square. The results showed that there was a fairly high level of agreement for the features of the various dimensions in relation to the corporate planning practices at Nestle Food Nigeria Plc. It was therefore recommended that more training and re-training should be provided for all levels of staff. This will broaden the practices of staff and obsolete management practices will be disregarded. Finally, adequate welfare packages for the staff should be encouraged to promote the motivation of the staff in engendering organizational effectiveness as well as established corporate planning is significantly related to corporate performance.
