Assessment of E L-Earning Knowledge Level of Business Studies Teacher in Delta State

Abstract
ABSTRACT This study was on “assessment of E-learning knowledge level of business studies teacher in Delta State”. The study was guided by five research questions and one hypothesis. The descriptive survey research design was adopted for study. All literature review were reviewed in line with the objective of the study. This study focused on 120 Business Studies Teachers from 21 public secondary schools in Delta State's Ethiope East Local Government Area. A sample of 60 Business Studies Teachers from 12 public schools was selected randomly using balloting without replacement. The research employed a questionnaire titled "Assessment of E-learning Knowledge among Business Studies Teachers in Delta State," comprising five sections: one for respondents' biographical data (Section A) and another for specific research questions (Section B). Data analysis included descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation) to address research questions and a t-test at a significance level of 0.05 for hypotheses. The results revealed a high level of E-learning knowledge among Business Studies Teachers in Delta State, with a significant portion utilizing E-learning for teaching and learning. Benefits included enhanced accessibility, wider resource access, convenience, diverse material sharing, flexibility, remote access, cost-effectiveness, and collaborative learning opportunities. Challenges encompassed poor internet connectivity, power interruptions, insufficient government support, expensive devices, technical skill gaps, and a lack of teacher support and motivation. It was concluded that there is a significant difference in E-learning knowledge between male and female Business Studies Teachers in Delta State. The study ended with of recommendation been made to improve the use of E-learning among Business Studies Teachers in Delta State
