Abstract
This study explores the potential of integrating Achi fabric, an indigenous Igala woven textile, into children's casual wear. The research investigates consumer preferences, awareness levels, and market feasibility of Achi fabric in modern fashion. A structured questionnaire was employed to gather data from respondents across various demographic groups. The findings reveal a strong inclination towards incorporating Achi fabric in children's clothing, with bright and bold colors and functional styles being the preferred choices. Respondents associated Achi fabric with cultural heritage, sustainability, and quality, highlighting its relevance in contemporary fashion. However, challenges such as limited awareness, production scalability, and competition with mass-produced clothing were identified. The study concludes that with strategic marketing, innovation, and stakeholder collaboration, Achi fabric can be successfully integrated into children's casual wear, promoting cultural identity and economic growth. Recommendations include awareness campaigns, design innovations, and support for local artisans to enhance the adoption and sustainability of Achi fabric in the fashion industry.
