Abstract
This study examined the effect between cash flow management and financial performance of listed Deposit Money Banks (DMBs) in Nigeria over the period 2019 to 2023. The study used panel data from 15 listed DMBs across a five-year period and used the fixed effect model (FEM) analytical technique, after the application of the Hausman test to validate model suitability. The study also used descriptive statistics to analyze the data generated. Findings showed that CFOA and CFFA had positive and statistically significant effects on ROA, while CFIA had a negative and significant effect. The research contributes to knowledge by offering empirical insights into the disaggregated effects of cash flows on bank profitability in the Nigerian context and recommends further studies that include alternative performance indicators, moderating variables, and broader sectoral analyses. The study recommends that banks strengthen internal processes to boost operating cash flow, align investment decisions with core business goals & objectives and maintain an optimal debt-equity balance to avoid over-leverage
