Abstract

Design and implementation of an pure-tone Audiometry Software for Hearing Test ABSTRACT Audiometry software plays a crucial role in diagnosing hearing impairments by evaluating a patient’s auditory sensitivity across various sound frequencies and intensities. This project focuses on the development of an audiometry software system that automates the hearing test process, providing a user-friendly interface for both audiologists and patients. The software allows audiologists to conduct pure-tone audiometry tests, record responses, and generate detailed diagnostic reports. By incorporating features such as patient profile management, customizable test settings, and real-time feedback, the software aims to streamline the testing procedure and enhance diagnostic accuracy. The system is designed to handle multiple frequency ranges and volume levels, presenting them to patients through calibrated headphones. Audiologists can view results in real-time via graphical displays, indicating the patient’s hearing thresholds. The software also stores historical data for future reference and comparison, helping in tracking hearing loss progression. The methodology used for this project involves Python for the algorithm, while Node.js and Next.js (React.js framework) are utilized for the development of the frontend
