Abstract
ABSTRACT Computer-Assisted Instructional Materials CAIM (Projector) have emerged as vital tools in enhancing the quality of education, particularly in technical colleges where practical and theoretical knowledge must be effectively integrated. This study explores the influence of CAIM on teaching and learning processes in technical colleges in Kano State, Nigeria. Utilizing a research approach, data were collected through survey (questionnaire) across several technical colleges. The findings indicate that the implementation of CAIM (Projector) significantly improves student engagement, motivation, and comprehension of complex technical concepts. Instructors reported increased efficiency in lesson delivery and a more structured approach to teaching. Moreover, students expressed a preference for interactive learning experiences provided by CAIM, Specifically Projector which fostered collaborative learning and critical thinking skills. Despite some challenges, including limited access to technology and inadequate training for instructors, the overall impact of CAIM (Projector) on educational outcomes in these Colleges was found to be positive. This study underscores the need for more investment in technological resources and training to maximize the benefits of CAIM (Projector) in technical education. Recommendations are provided for policymakers and educational leaders to enhance the adoption and effectiveness of CAIM (Projector) in Kano State's technical colleges.
