Abstract
ABSTRACT This study investigates the impact of GeoGebra software on improving students' comprehension of algebraic concepts in mathematics. GeoGebra, a dynamic mathematics software, offers interactive tools for visualizing and solving mathematical problems, bridging the gap between abstract algebraic concepts and concrete understanding. The research explores how the integration of GeoGebra into teaching methodologies enhances students' conceptual and procedural knowledge, problem-solving skills, and overall engagement in learning algebra the study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative data from pre- and post-tests to measure student performance and qualitative feedback through surveys and classroom observations to assess student attitudes and engagement. Findings indicate a significant improvement in students ability to understand complex algebraic concepts, such as equations, functions, and transformations, due to the interactive and visual features of GeoGebra. Additionally, students reported increased confidence and motivation in mathematics when using the software. The study highlights GeoGebra's potential as an effective pedagogical tool for fostering deeper comprehension of algebra, promoting active learning, and enhancing student achievement. It concludes with recommendations for incorporating GeoGebra into mathematics curricula and providing training for educators to maximize its benefits in diverse classroom settings.
