Correlation of School Health Programs and Hiv/aids Prevention Among University Students in Ambrose alli university

Abstract
The researchers examined the correlation of school health programs and
HIVAIDS prevention among university students in Ambrose Alli University.
The main purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation between
school health programs and HIV/AIDS prevention among university students
in Ambrose Alli University. Three research questions were raised to investigate
the problem and support the purpose of the study. Literatures were reviewed on
related subheadings based on the variables on the study. The instrument for
data collection was the questionnaire and a total of five Hundred and four
questionnaires were administered. The simple percentage method of data
analysis was used in analyzing the information gotten from the questionnaires.
A descriptive survey research design was adopted. A sample of five Hundred
and four (504) studenis were selected. The instrument was validated by the
researcher'is supervisor and two other experts in Health Education. The
findings from this stady reveals that; Majority of the students agreed that Using
of Condom helps prevent infection of HIV/AIDS among university students in
Ambrose Alli University, also, the use of antiretroviral drugs serve as a means
to prevent mother to child transmission. Rased on this study, some
recommendation were given to help bring further knowledge on the topics;
Educational institutions should invest in comprehensive school health
programs that address the specific needs and preferences of university
students; It is essential to implement rigorous monitoring and evaluation
mechanisms to assess the impact of school health programs on students'
knowledge, attitudes, and behuviors related to HIVAIDS prevention.
