Abstract
The primary objective was to evaluate the current state of MWM acrossvarious hospital sizes and types (e.g., public and private) to identify potential environmental and public health risks. A descriptive cross-sectional design was employed. Data were collected using structured questionnaires administered to key personnel (e.g., hospital administrators, MWM officers) and through direct observation of waste handling, segregation, storage, transportation, and final disposal procedures. The study assessed several key indicators, including the availability of necessary infrastructure, staff training levels, segregation efficiency, and compliance with the national Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards.
