Work Environment on Organizational Performance in Nigerian Public Service

Abstract
This study focused the impact of Work Environment on Organizational
performance. The analysis was done in First bank Nigeria plc Eket branch
Akwa Ibom State. The aim of this research is to critically examine the
relationship between the work environment and organizational
performance. which had the total population of sixty four (64) employees.
descriptive survey approach was use for the study a stratified simple.
random sampling techniques was adopted to select workers in the
corporation. used to determine the sample size of fifty five (55) from total
the population. For the collection of primary data, a structured
questionnaire was designed for the study. the secondary data was referred
from prior research, books, reports, articles and referenced. The data
collected were analysed using simple frequencies and percentages, and
table which was further carried out using chi-square (x2) test analysis and
having confidence level of $5% and error margin to be 5% (0.5)
significant level of 0.103 table value of x². Findings revealed that; there is
significant relationship Physical Workspace and organsational
performance which the calculated value of x² Was 23.3 greater than 0.103
table value of chi-square (Ho). The null hypothesis (HA) was rejected
while the alternative was accepted. Also revealed that, Leadership style
and organsational performance. Therefore, it was concluded that,
management of any organization cannot do without considering working
environment as a major factor for effective organizational performance. It
recommended the manaegement of an organization should Invest in
creating a conducive physical workplace that promotes productivity,
collaboration, and well-being. Management should also Implement
flexible work arrangements, such as remote work options or flexible
scheduling, to accommodate diverse employee needs and
preferences.Regularly assess `and address any safety hazards or
environmental factors that may impact employee health and performance.
