Abstract
This project aims to investigate and explore politics and the effects it has on people and the society in 20th century using two African novels as a case study, A Man of the People by Chinua Achebe and The Beautyful Ones Are not yet Born" by Ayi Kwei Armah.
Specifically, this study seeks to analyze how these two novels portray politics and the impact it has on people and the society, focusing mainly on the two African countries: Nigeriand Ghana.
Through this two novels, this study aim to tell us how politics shapes the social, economic and cultural fabrics of these two African nations; Nigeria and Ghana in 20th century.
