Abstract
This study investigated the effects of feeding graded level of corn silk (stigma maydis) on the growth performance of broiler chicken. a day total of 120 day-old Ross 308 chicks were randomly assigned to four dietary treatments: T1 (control), T2 (control + antibiotics and antioxidants), T3 (basal diet+0.25g/kg corn silk powder), T4 (basal diet +0.5g/kg corn silk powder). Each treatment had six replicates with five birds per replicates. Phytochemical analysis of corn silk revealed the presence of flavonoids, glycocides, coumarin, terpenoids and phytic acid. growth parameters such as feed intakes, weightgain, and feed conversion ratio (fcr) were measured over a 42-days period. Results indicated no significant differences(p
