Design and Implementation of Internet Using Voice Based Email System

Voice mail system also known as voice message or voice bank is a computer-based system that information and to process transactions relating to individuals, organizations, products and services, using an ordinary telephone. The aim and objectives of this project is to develop an interactive voice response email system that will help a blind person to use the services for communication without pervious training. The system would enable the user to make use of the system without the use of a keyboard instead will work only on mouse operation and speech conversion to text. Also, this system can be used by users who cannot read. Hence, in this project work, a voice based email for blina that is capable of analyzing the voice on based email in making effective analysis on voice based email for blind was designed, implemented and evaluated.
The developed system was designed by creating the following modules:
Home page, Login page and Registration page of the voice based email for blind. The evaluation of the performance of the developed system was carried out by administering questionnaires on 60users of the system based on usability and speed of processing.
The results of the evaluation of the developed system showed that 45 out of 60 users agreed that the system is easy to use. Also 50 out of 60 users agreed that the system is fast while 10 users disagreed. It is therefore concluded that a voice based email for blind that is capable of providing a user friendly and accessible means of voice based emaii has been developed. The system was implemented using visual basic 6.0 programming language because it is user-friendly and efficient to use.
