Abstract
Pandemics pose significant threats to public health, economies, and global stability, necessitating
efficient control and surveillance systems to mitigate their impact. The integration of technology
into healthcare has brought many changes to various aspects of the field, including disease
prevention and control. This project focuses on developing an automated Pandemic Control and
Outbreak Surveillance System to enhance early detection, rapid response, and efficient
containment of infectious diseases. The objective is to provide a system that monitors pandemic
outbreaks, increases the involvement of clinicians and health staff in surveillance activities, and
ensures timely detection and control of disease spread. The project utilized the Object-Oriented
Design Methodology (OODM), with tools and technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript,
PHP, and MySQL for database management. The system was designed to operate on multiple
platforms, including desktops, laptops, iPads, and Android phones, ensuring accessibility via a
web browser. Key features include real-time data aggregation, epidemiological data storage, and
timely information dissemination. The Pandemic Control and Surveillance System aims to
strengthen healthcare preparedness, reduce response time, and improve pandemic containment
strategies by providing accurate and timely information. Implementing this system will enhance
national and global resilience to infectious disease outbreaks, ensuring proactive and data-driven
public health interventions.
