Abstract
This research project examines Gender Classification in Literature through the masterpiece of Lorraine Hansberry A RAISIN IN THE SUN and Jane Austen `. The study aims to analyze the role and significance of gender classification in literature and social commentary present in both works of literature. The research utilized the analytical approach to explore the portrayals of characters, the classification of characters and their impact on the narrative structure and thematic development. The project draws on primary sources, including the novels themselves, as well as secondary sources such as critical essays and scholars analysis, examining characters motivations, relationships, and the every other elements employed by the authors. The findings of the study contribute to a deeper understanding of the literary techniques deployed by Jane Austen and Lorraine Hansberry, shedding light on the broader significance of gender classification in literature. The project’s insight are relevant not only to literary scholars and enthusiast but also to those interested in the exploration of cultural, historical, and societal gender classifications depicted in literary works.
