Effect of Corporate Strategy on Performance of Financial Institution (study of Some Selected Banks in Ado-Ekiti)

Abstract
The aim of the study is to establish the effect of corporate strategy on performance of financial institution. The study utilized three research objectives; to examine the relationship between resource allocation and corporate strategy on performance of financial institution; to ascertain the relationship between organizational design and performance of financial institution and to examine the relationship between risk management and performance of financial institution. The study used survey research method. The population of the study is 70 employees of GT Bank, Zenith Bank, and Eco Bank. A sampling techniques used closed questionnaire in which respondent’s has the chance to pick his/her suitable answers from option given and the item made on the questionnaire are (15) fifteen items. Based on the findings related to strategic planning and organizational performance, it can be inferred that public commercial banks in the study area effectively engage in strategic planning. There is a need for greater emphasis on translating strategic plans into actionable steps for implementation
