Impact of Modern Technology on the Management of Corporate Organizations in Nigeria (a Case Study of Zenith Bank Plc Auchi Branch)

Abstract

Change is dynamic and the only thing that is constant in life. For any bank
to succeed in this era of constant change in technology application in the banking world, it must therefore, be ready to compete. The objective of the
study therefore is to examine the impact of modern technology on
management efficiency in corporate organizations in Nigeria using Zenith
Bank Plc, Auchi as a case study. The study adopted descriptive research
design in form of survey in which questionnaire was used as a major
research instrument. The population of the study consisted of all the
Bank Plc, Auchi. These include both management and
employees. The random sampling technique was used in the
staf and other
selection of samples. The study tok a stand that the business environment
needs to move with technological trend. The finding indicated that
application of modem technical ols affected the size of the workforce
negatively. The study concluded the t application of modern technical tools is
the veritable pillar on which efficiency of corporate organization rest. It was
recommended that banking oper tion should be channeled in positive
direction that will bring about nore employment and development of
techniques and perfection for existing workers.
