Design and Implementation of Medical Alert System for Asthmatic Patient (a Case Study of Famous Diagnosis Centre)

Abstract

It is glaring that with the incessant advancement in technology every sector of the economy is also a benefactor in which the health sector is not left out, the application of computer this day in health sector is significant such as expert system among many others, it is evident that computer software perform this task more effective and efficient than manual approach.
This project, Medical Alert for Asthmatic patients lays emphasis on using the computer system for prescribing drugs and as well giving medication alert to the patient on a preset time interval on what drug to take, time to take and dosage.

The aim of this project is to offer a system that relief the doctor of persistent consultation and the patient of constantly visiting the doctor by developing an application that will give medication alert to the patients who subscribe to it.

The methodology employed in the project makes involves interview, online research and consultation of medical experts. The programming language to use is Visual Basic 6.0 due to its easy-to-use feature and the effective database implementation.
