Abstract
ABSTRACT
The study aimed to explore the relationship between corporate governance and the financial performance of banks. With a population of 33 banks, a sample size of 18 was determined using the Krejcie & Morgan Sample Size Table, ensuring a representative subset for analysis.
Employing a survey research design method, data collection utilized a structured research questionnaire administered to the selected respondents. Mean statistics were then applied to analyze the gathered data, providing a quantitative insight into the factors under investigation.
The outcomes were succinctly presented in tables, capturing the essence of the study's findings.
The results, presented in past tense, offered valuable insights into the interplay between corporate governance practices and the financial performance of the surveyed banks. The conclusion of the study, following the exploration of these dynamics, paved the way for recommendations to enhance corporate governance in the banking sector. Therefore, the study not only contributed to the existing body of knowledge but also provided practical implications for stakeholders in the financial industry, emphasizing the importance of robust corporate governance structures.
