Effect of Drug Abuse on Mental Health, Specifying on the Side Effects of Green Blue Algae and Rubber Solution.

Abstract

Drug misuse is a widespread and crippling problem that affects millions of people globally and has a significant negative impact on mental health. The devastating effects of drug abuse on mental health are covered in detail in this seminar. These effects include both short- and long-term effects of drug use on mental health; increased risk of mental health disorders associated with drug abuse, such as depression, anxiety, and post- traumatic stress disorder (PTSD); changes in brain chemistry brought on by drug abuse, including changes in brain regions and neurotransmitters; genetic and environmental factors that contribute to the development of drug use disorders and co-occurring mental health disorders; and evidence-based prevention and treatment strategies, such as early intervention programs, behavioral therapies, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and contingency management.
