Abstract
Agriculture plays a fundamental role in ensuring food security, employment, and economic growth across the world. However, one of the major challenges faced by farmers is the inefficient use of water resources in irrigation. Traditional irrigation methods, such as flood or furrow irrigation, often lead to water wastage, soil degradation, and uneven water distribution, which negatively affect crop yields (FAO, 2021). With increasing concerns over climate change and water scarcity, there is a need for improved irrigation techniques that optimize water usage while maintaining crop health and productivity. Automated irrigation systems have emerged as a solution to these challenges, offering farmers a way to efficiently manage water distribution based on real-time data and crop requirements (Singh et al., 2020).
