Abstract

This project demonstrates Boolean algebra and its application to logic
circuits. We begin by expressing the fundamental principles of Boolean algebra,
including variables, operations and laws. Boolean Expressions and Functions
were explained with their different standard forms. The truth table for various
logic gates including basic gates (AND, NOT, OR) and more complex ones
(NAND, NOR, XOR) is a part of the study. Hence this research provides the
functionality of each gate, demonstrating how they can be combined to perform
logical operations. We also discussed the role of logic gates in logical circuits
and computer systems. Through this project, we aim to provide a solid
understanding of Boolean algebra and its practical application in logic gates.
We examine the ways in which Boolean algebra is used to design and analyse
logic circuits like the combination and sequential logic circuits. This research
uncovers the importance of Boolean algebra, truth tables and Logic gates in
wide range of applications from simple electronic devices to complex computer
systems.
