Abstract
The rapid growth of urban areas and increasing population densities have significantly intensified traffic congestion in many cities worldwide. Traditional traffic management systems, which often rely on static signals and manual monitoring, have proven insufficient to handle the dynamic nature of modern traffic patterns. As urban mobility becomes more complex, there is a pressing need for innovative, efficient, and adaptive traffic control solutions to enhance road safety, reduce travel time, and minimize environmental impact (Singh and Yadav, 2022).
Real-time traffic monitoring and management systems utilize modern technologies such as sensors, GPS, wireless networks, and data analytics to continuously collect, process, and analyze traffic data. These systems provide actionable insights for both drivers and traffic control authorities by enabling instant response to traffic conditions, rerouting vehicles, and optimizing signal timing based on current flow patterns (Kumar et al., 2021).
