Abstract
Despite their many benefits, radio magazine programmes face several challenges in production. One significant issue is the competition for audience attention in an era of increasing media fragmentation. With the rise of digital platforms and social media, traditional radio faces challenges in attracting and retaining listeners. Producers must continually innovate and adapt their content to stay relevant in a rapidly changing media landscape (Adedayo, 2023).
Another challenge is the funding and resources required for high-quality production. Many radio stations, particularly in developing countries like Nigeria, struggle with limited budgets and inadequate infrastructure. This can affect the quality of programming and hinder the ability to reach wider audiences (Olalekan, 2021).
