Topographical Information System of Atiba Local Government Secretariat, Offa Meta, Oyo State.

ABSTRACT
This project simply focused on creation of the Topographic Information System (TIS) of Atiba local Government Secretariat, Oyo. Topographic Information System (TIS) was carried out with the main purpose of producing a tool for effective land planning, administration and management within the Secretariat. Field and Office reconnaissance were carried out in order to be familiar with the terrain and do proper planning on the methodology and equipment to be used for the acquisition and assembling of spatial and attribute data. The geometric (spatial) data were acquired by GNSS receiver through the process of detailing, traversing and obtaining spotheights which were carried out simultaneously. The data processing were adequately and effectively done using Notepad and Microsoft Excel for editing and preprocessing, Civil 3D 2022 for draughting, Surfer 14 for generating the contour and3DWireframe Map while ArcGIS 10.6.1 version was used for spatial analysis, query generation and information presentation. A model database was generated and structured using the relational table format. GIS analytical functions were performed such as queries and different map were produce. The interpretation of the maps and queries produce supports decision making needed by land surveyors,Architects,Engineers, Urban and Regional planner to plan design and execute vital infrastructural projects in the Atiba Local Government Secretariat. A comprehensive technical report was written at the end of the project.
