Online House Agent System: a Case Study of Auchi Polytechnic Environment

Abstract
ABSTRACT
This study examines the challenges of traditional house hunting methods at Auchi Polytechnic environment in Edo State, Nigeria, where students and others alike rely on word-of-mouth referrals and physical visits to find accommodation. To address these issues, this study proposed an Online House Agent System (OHAS) tailored for Auchi Polytechnic environment. This platform aims to facilitate property searches, bookings, and payments while ensuring security through property verification and user reviews. The system was implemented using PHP and MySQL server. The study highlights the significance of this modern solution in improving the housing search process for students and suggests its potential application to other academic environments in Nigeria
