Organization Culture and Workers Performance in the Nigeria Banking Sector (a Study of Some Selected Banks in Auchi, Edo State)

Abstract
This study examines organization culture and workers performance in the Nigerian banking sector using a case study of Some Selected Banks, Auchi, Edo State. Generally speaking, organizational culture is a specific collection of value and norms, shared by members of an organization to determine how they interact with each other within and outside the organization with the aim of achieving organizational goals. The population of the study consist of sixty (60) staff of Some Selected Banks Auchi and fifty two (52) sample size was drawn using Taro Yamane formula.. The researcher employ simple percentages and chi-square statistical techniques to analyzed the structured questionnaire administered to the respondent. Based on the analysis. Findings reveals that organizational culture affect workers performance and recognizing organizational culture is necessary in implementing strategic plans. We therefore recommended that people oriented culture should be inculcated in the Nigerian Banking sector.
