Problems and Prospect of Production Control on the Efficiency of Automobile Industry (a Case Study of Dangote Peugeot Automobile Kaduna Nigeria)

Abstract

The study examines problems and prospect of production control on the efficiency of automobile industry (a case study of dangote Peugeot automobile Kaduna Nigeria. The company's staff strength as at the time of this study is 100. The sample size of this study is 80 staff of the company. The research instrument for data collection is questionnaire. The researcher employed the use of the mean statistic for the data analysis and decision rule was used to take decision. Hypotheses were tested using chi-square (x2). The findings from the study revealed that revealed that the integration of Industry 4.0 technologies is significantly associated with improved production control efficiency in the automobile industry. and it was established that Dangote Peugeot Automobile Face Production control problems such as Supply Chain Disruptions, Technological Complexities, Workforce Management Issues e.t.c. The study therefore recommends that management of Dangote Peugeot Automobile should Implement Advanced Production Planning Tools, Utilize advanced production planning software and tools to optimize production schedules, minimize lead times, and enhance resource utilization. This can help in streamlining the production process and reducing bottlenecks.
