Abstract
ABSTRACT
The research project was carried out to examine Office Management and ICT in Covid-19 Era: Ambrose Alli University as a Case Study.
The objectives of the study were to examine the role of ICT on office management during the COVID-19 era, identify the effect of remote working on office management performance, and identify the impact of restriction and lockdown on office productivity performance in Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma.
Three research questions were formulated for the study and a self-designed questionnaire was used to measure the variables using a total sample size of 217 respondents drawn from the academic and non-academic staff of the university. However, 200 questionnaires were returned, and the data collected were statistically analysed using mean and simple percentage techniques, employing both primary and secondary methods of data collection.
Based on the findings, the project concluded that ICT played a major role in increasing the performance of office management in Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma. These roles include the facilitation of faster responses, mass collaboration, electronic service provision, and enhanced work efficiency. The study recommended that office management should adopt new ICT-based policies to align with the changing work environment.
