Abstract
ABSTRACT
That study evaluates the wind energy potential in Ayingba, Kogi State, Nigeria, to determine its feasibility for power generation. Wind speed data was collected from the NASA website (www.powerlarc.com) and analyzed using software (Origin 7) to estimate Wind energy density, Wind power density. The results show moderate wind energy potential, making it not suitable for wind power generation. The findings suggest that wind turbines should not be installed to generate electricity because the wind power density class for Ayingba falls under weak category . This research provides valuable insights for policymakers, investors, and engineers to harness wind energy in Ayingba.
