Impact of Entrepreneurship Training on Performance of Small Businesses

Abstract
Entrepreneurship training has been cited as one of the most important of training. This research aimed at studying the Impact of Entrepreneurship Training on Performance of Small Enterprises in Nigeria using Tuns Farm as case study. The conceptual framework took the form entrepreneurial behavior is seen as a product of the training program. Training on customer care, Quality maintenance, marketing and financial management have been considered under this model. Data were collected through questionnaires obtained from 30 employees from Tuns Farm staffs. The study utilized chi-square to analyze the data. The findings showed a significant positive impact of entrepreneurship training on performance of small enterprises in Nigeria. From the chi-square analysis, can be concluded that entrepreneurship training contributed 85% towards the performance of small enterprises in Nigeria. The result of the study has valuable implications for policy makers, researchers, existing and potential entrepreneurs. There it was recommended that the entrepreneurship training provider should encourage practical methods in their training in order to enhance knowledge imparting to small enterprises in Nigeria so as the training to be fruitful, small enterprises in Nigeria entrepreneurs have been facing the problem of fake or low quality of raw materials in producing their product which eventually leads to bankruptcy so they ask the government to abandoned fake suppliers. Again, training participation fee should be lower so as to let more small enterprises in Nigeria of low income time to time to attend trainings simply technology is changing too fast.
