Abstract

This project focuses on the design and installation of a 2.0KVA, 24-volt inverter system integrated with two 200Mah deep cycle batteries, an MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) solar charge controller, and a 380W mono-crystalline solar panel. The aim is to provide a reliable, efficient, and sustainable backup power solution for the H.O.D office block, ensuring continuous operation of essential electrical appliances during power outages.The design process involved system sizing, component selection, wiring layout, safety considerations, and cost estimation. The installation ensured proper electrical connections, circuit protection, and load management to enhance performance and longevity. Test results revealed that the system delivers a stable output voltage of 220V AC with minimal losses and provides sufficient backup duration for the office load requirements.In conclusion, the project demonstrates a practical and cost-effective approach to addressing unreliable power supply through renewable energy integration. It promotes environmental sustainability and energy efficiency while serving as a model for small-scale solar-powered inverter installations in institutional settings.
