Abstract
ABSTRACT
E-fraud has become a serious and common problem that needs a cogent and urgent approach in solving it. E-fraud, which refers to any and all types of deceptions perpetrated online ranging from phishing, hijacking or spoofing has grown significantly because it is seen as high priority areas. The number of fraudulent activities is increasing dramatically in the national economy. Consequently fraud detection is becoming an important issue especially in the business world and subsequently reducing fraud is a complex process which includes the knowledge from many scientific areas and demands a multidisciplinary approach. This project work is focused on the design and implementation of E-fraud on bank, detection and prevention system, it finds out the problem in the existing system and proffer a solution by designing a unique computerized detection system using visual basic programming language. Guaranty Trust Bank Plc was used as a case study for the above named project from where major data's were collected using the feedback from method for the purpose of data analysis, correspondence was also used to analyze the data in order to establish computerized E-fraud detection and prevention system in the banking sector.
