Abstract
ABSTRACTOrange peels are a rich source of essential oils, which have been widely used in pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and food industries. This study investigates the extraction of essential oil from orange peels using various methods, including steam distillation, solvent extraction, cold pressing, and Soxhlet extraction. The effects of extraction parameters, such as temperature, time, and solvent ratio, on the yield and composition of the extracted essential oil were evaluated. The results show that the extraction method and parameters significantly affect the yield and composition of the essential oil. The essential oil extracted from orange peels was found to be rich in limonene, beta-pinene, and alpha-pinene. The study concludes that the extraction of essential oil from orange peels is a promising approach for the production of natural products with potential applications in various industries
