Design and Implementation of Event Reservation System

This project work“design and implementation of event reservation system”,been carried out in Tafari event Centre Kogi state is primarily designed to manage and streamline scheduling of event within the organization with seamless effort. The aim of this project is to design and implement a web based event booking and reservation system, differentobjectives were been guided to achieve this, which include, to extensively carry out an analysis on how event is been managed in the organization, creation of a database to store the organization’s information, development of friendly user interface and system functionality, to create a QR Code for easy authentication/unique identifier for customer tickets. Many existing event booking systems lack sufficient customization and flexibility, making it challenging for organizers to tailor the platform according to their specific requirements. As event involves bringing people together within a time frame in a particular place.The major problemishowinformation about the eventisbeen communicated and how to secure a proper venue for event. In addition, we have different unit in an institution, organization, company and each with different work and functions, sometimes different unit fix the same event venue, the same day and time, without knowing that the venue has been scheduled for another meeting. This lead to congestion of event and most events as been terminated or conducted lately because of lack of venue. In academic, organizations, private and individual environment, proper coordination of venues for an event and those that are to participate in such event is high importance towards preventing clashes of venues and also uninvited personnel to a particular event. In this modern age where computing is becoming ubiquitous, organizations are been encouraged to have an information system that will assist them in the management of events. The new system is fully automated system for scheduling and management of events, features include online registration, erroneous data can be reduced and users can be authenticated/verified with ease.
