Effects of Product and Service Quality on Patronage of Eateries Among Students of Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti

Abstract
The study examined the effects of product and service quality on customer patronage of eateries
among Ekiti State University Students, Ado-Ekiti. Specifically, the study examined the effect
of product quality and service quality and customer patronage.
A descriptive survey research design was adopted for the study. The population of the study
comprised Ekiti State University in Ado-Ekiti. The sample size was 393. Primary data used for
the study were gathered through the administration of structured questionnaire to the
respondents. The data obtained were analysed using multiple regression.
The study found that product quality has significant effect on customer patronage (R = 0.648)
and that the study found that service quality has significant effect on customer patronage (R =
0.715) all at 0.05 level of significance. The study concluded that product quality and service
quality significantly affects customer patronage of eateries among Ekiti State University
