Primary research method was adopted through the administration of questionnaires on one hundred respondents- the ICPC workers.
The collected data were analysed through descriptive and inferential statistics.
The study revealed that the cause of white collar crime is the systemic deficiencies via poor law enforcement, lack of institutional control and pervasive political interferences. Thus, there are strong positive correlation (r= 0.820) between systemic weakness, (r^2 =0.761) a limited access to modern forensic tools.
The study concludes that forensic investigation is capable of reducing white collar crimes if adequate mechanism is put in place within the public system.
Based on this, the study recommends a proactive mechanism to allow proper forensic investigation in all projects of government.
