Impact of Human Resources Management on Employee's Performance in an Organization

ABSTRACT
The main objective of this research is to examine the impact of human resources management on employees' performance in organizations. Human resources management focused on several important practices such as human resource planning, recruitment, selection, training and development, compensation, performance management and employee relations, which in turn, can positively impact organizational performance. The study made used of descriptive research design of the survey type. The study was carried out on office managers in Ogun State ministries and the data collected through the use of questionnaires serve as primary. While the secondary sources of data were collected through the journals from internet for the study. The population and the sample size were one hundred but ninety were returned. Simple percentage, mean and chi-square methods were used to analysis the research work. The research findings revealed that there is significant relationship between human resources management and employees' performance. It was recommended that effective recruitment and selection attracts the right quality and quantity of people, develops the knowledge, skills, and abilities of employees, and retains employees within the organization and that training and management development program should be implemented to enhance the capabilities of both office manager and other employees in an organization.
