Abstract
This project presents the design and construction of an automatic changeover system utilizing Arduino microcontroller technology. The system seamlessly switches between primary and backup power sources, ensuring uninterrupted power supply in critical applications. The Arduino-based controller continuously monitors the primary power source and automatically switches to the backup source upon detection of power failure. The system comprises sensors for voltage and current monitoring, providing real-time feedback to the controller. The changeover process is accomplished through a relay module, ensuring efficient and reliable switching. The system's performance is evaluated through experimental testing, demonstrating its effectiveness in reducing downtime and enhancing power reliability. The proposed system offers a cost-effective, efficient, and compact solution for automatic power changeover, making it suitable for various industrial, commercial, and residential applications.
