Impact of Conflict Management on Organizational Productivity

Abstract

This research work is to examine the effect of conflict management on organizational productivity. With a case study of ASUP, Ospoly Branch Osun State. The objectives of this research work is to examine the effect of conflict on production activities, to determine how conflict are being manage within the organization & to know how conflict are been settle within the organization. Data was collected by using a questionnaire and interview guide, and during data collection purposive sampling method was used. Both qualitative and quantitative methodologies were used to analyze data as a sample size of 30 respondents was tested the study latter concluded that there is significant relationship between conflict management and organization productivity the study latter recommend that the company top management should encourage the staff by allowing them to express their findings and grievances toward them, confrontation and dialogue system should be used in the industry to settle conflict among them, using dismissal or retrenchment of worker create changes in production techniques and this can affect productivity of an organization, the management should try to train the worker on how the use or operate the modern equipment instead of laying them off. Also they should try to employ qualified and specialist employees to operate the machines.
