Evaluation of Strategies for Gender Diversity in Oyo State Property Industry

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the strategies for gender diversity in Oyo state Property Industry. Specifically, the research access the current gender diversity landscape in the sector, identify and analyse the existing gender diversity strategies and evaluate the effectiveness of the identified strategies . A quantitative research approach was adopted, employing a combination of primary and secondary data sources. Primary data was collected through professional involves in property industry. Secondary data was obtained from Profession databases, reports, and relevant literature. Participants were selected utilizing stratified random sampling from various fields in property industry, with a representative of 279 sample size derived from the sample frame of 919 usingsolvin's formula with observations from professionals in property industries in Oyo state, encompassing land surveyors, Estate surveyors and valuers, Quantity Surveyors, Architects and Builders. The study on strategies for gender diversity in Oyo state property industry reveals a significant gender diversity strategy landscape. various diversity strategies like training programs, flexible work arrangements, recruitment policy and mentorship programs exist, their effectiveness is questioned .The research underscores the need for robust policies, consistently implemented and monitored to promote gender diversity in the industry. It recommends robust policy interventions, implementation and effectiveness of strategies and property industry companies actions to achieve greater gender diversity, enabling the property industry to harness its full potential and contribute to a more equitable society.
