Impact of Organizational Structure on Management Effectiveness

Abstract

ABSTRACT The broad objective of this study is to examine the effect of organizational structure on management effectiveness, a study of Osun State Broadcasting Corporation, (OSBC), Osogbo. The specific objectives include; to ascertain the compliant of the good organizational structure on management effectiveness in OSBC, Osogbo, to determine the impact of organizational structure to the management effectiveness and to examine the alignment of organizational structure to goals and performance of OSBC, Osogbo. The study used descriptive research design and the data collected was presented in table and analyzed with frequencies and percentages. The hypotheses were analyzed by the use of chi-square. The study found out that most of the respondents strongly agree that organizational structure in OSBC compliant, have great impact and align with the goals and performance of OSBC, Osogbo. The Chi-square calculated in all the three hypotheses were greater than chi-square table at 0.5 level of significant. Hypothesis one 8.78 > 7.81, hypothesis two 16.33 > 7.81 at 3 df while hypothesis three 7.48 > 5.99 at 2 df. The study recommended that management of organizations should critically analyze the effectiveness of efficiency of the organization by ensuring proper structure are put in place and implemented.
