Abstract
ABSTRACT
Number theory, often regarded as a purely theoretical branch of mathematics, has significant real-life applications that impact modern technology and problem-solving. This project explores the practical uses of number theory across various domains, emphasizing its relevance in fields such as cryptography, coding theory, and computer algorithms. Cryptographic systems, which rely on the properties of prime numbers and modular arithmetic, form the backbone of secure communication in digital transactions. In addition, error detection and correction in data transmission leverage concepts from number theory to ensure reliability in telecommunications.
The project also examines applications in finance, where number theory aids in risk analysis and algorithmic trading, and in physics, where it helps model complex systems. By bridging abstract mathematical concepts with practical applications, this study highlights the enduring significance of number theory in advancing science, technology, and everyday life.
