Effect of Coconut on Fbsl in Coou Student

Abstract
ABSTRACT:ABSTRACTBackground: There exist controversies about the health effects of coconut. Fresh coconut consumption on human health has not been studied substantially. Fresh coconut consumption is a regular part of the diet for many people in tropical countries, and thus there is an increasing need to understand the effects of coconut on fasting blood sugar. Aim: The aim of the study is to evaluate the effect of coconut on fasting blood sugar levels of COOU students in uli campus.Materials: 100 volunteer subjects were used which were asked to do overnight fast by doing the first test using glucometer and they were given 100g of fresh coconut to eat, after 1hr 30min the second test were performed. Results: the effect of coconut consumption on fasting blood sugar levels might not be significant or impactful in a meaningful way.Keywords: blood sugar levels, coconut, glucometer
